Comment: Never received this item. I was taken for the cost of the item and shipping. Very diappointed

Comment: This is a good book. Chapters are well organized, and you may even skip some chapters without having problem understanding the whole book.
I bought it from amazon place. Seller claimed the book is new, but sent me an old book. Amazon covered all the costs.

Summary: A little too detailed for beginners
Comment: The financial concepts are explained very nicely. Though it is my first finance book i can go through it without much difficulty or extra help. However there are still some drawbacks need to be noticed:
1. Need more charts and graphics to explain the concepts, ie: when explaining the DU PONT System, i think the pyramid structure can be illustrated so as to state a whole concept, not only fragments
2. Too many examples
3. This book is too detailed in both relevant and irrelevant matters
Still, I think it is a good book.

Comment: If possible, please tell me the difference between this book (Fundamentals of Corporate Finance by Richard Brealey) and Principles of Corporate Finance by Brealey and Myers. I currently own the 5th edition of Principles; having worn the book down with constant thumbing, I am looking for a replacement.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In the first edition, Brealey, Myers, Marcus were applauded for their intuitive approach and imbedded examples. Professors constantly praised their well-organized and thoughtful writing style and their clear exposition of what many students consider difficult material. The authors accomplished this without sacrificing an up-to-date, technically correct treatment of core topic areas. Since this author team is known for their outstanding research, teaching efforts, and market leading finance textbooks, it's no surprise that they have created an innovative, modern, and market-driven revision.
