Comment: Rubbish. Lots of bugs. Could not get it to work with my Canon DR-1210C scanner as it does not seem to be supported - although it is exactly the sort of scanner (ADF) that you would need for use with document management software.

Comment: My company recently bought a Brother 7010l printer and had hoped to use it for OCR scanning. The software was not included with the Vista install disk. Brother kindly sent Paperport 11 on a CD-R (not factory produced).
Try as we might we cannot install the software. The process halts telling us that there are applications that need closing in order to update files.
Applications include our Norton security and Windows explorer. Under Vista we cannot close Norton and if we close Windows explorer we lose our desktop and still the installation fails. Brother support denies there is a problem and pushes the problem back to us, and Nuance website gives us no help. Avoid.

Comment: I bought this as I had an earlier free version with a scanner. I did not really use this to scan in documents but rather to store documents. The best feature for me is that you can print to the program instead of a printer and store it there. Better still you can edit the document once it has printed which is easy to do. The pro version easily converts to PDF etc so emailing on is easy. Just using the print to program is really useful as some print options do not allow you to store a document and so you can not save it to computer and edit it or do anything else with it, so this feature is worth the money for me. I bought the product on launch for £69 which I felt good value, especially as today the price is still higher - however I would buy again at the higher price if I had to as I find I am so used to the features it would be hard to do without it. It also has other features such as scanning and paper organisation which I have not really made use of yet but can see the benefits. Also included with this is the PDF program that allows you to compbine different documents and create a single or multiple PDF files and I use this occasionally as well. Highly recommended.
